VIRGINIA — A man was killed Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle at a Henrico County intersection, according to police.
The Henrico County Police Division said officers were called just after 5 p.m. to the intersection of Staples Mill Road and Libbie Mill East Boulevard for a reported crash involving a pedestrian.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from what authorities described as “obvious signs of trauma.” He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
As of Friday evening, all eastbound lanes of Staples Mill Road between Bethlehem Road and Libbie Lake South Street remained closed while authorities investigated the crash.
