TEXAS — A 27-year-old man was killed early Friday morning after being struck by a second vehicle following a crash on Interstate 35 in San Antonio, according to police.
San Antonio police said the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 35 northbound near Binz-Engleman Road.
Investigators said the man was driving northbound when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a guardrail.
After getting out of the vehicle, police said the man was hit by another vehicle traveling on the interstate.
Authorities said the driver of the second vehicle fled the scene.
The Texas Department of Transportation temporarily closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 35 following the crash, but the lanes have since reopened.
San Antonio police continue to investigate the fatal hit-and-run crash.
