OHIO — An 82-year-old man died Tuesday afternoon after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a road in Fairfield County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers from the Lancaster Post responded to the crash around 5 p.m. on Blacklick Road near Heimberger Road in Liberty Township.
Investigators said a 2017 Subaru Impreza was traveling eastbound on Blacklick Road when it struck Stephen Venturini, 82, who was walking north across the roadway.
Venturini was pronounced dead at the scene, OSHP said.
The driver of the Subaru was treated for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
