OHIO — A Lewisburg woman is facing multiple charges following an investigation into alleged identity theft and drug possession, according to the Preble County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said 41-year-old Julie Rike was arrested after an investigation led authorities to search a home on Lee Street on March 26.

According to investigators, Rike is accused of using another person’s identity earlier this year to purchase a 2024 Chevrolet Malibu and obtain a loan in the victim’s name.

During the search, deputies reported finding suspected fentanyl both inside the residence and in a vehicle connected to the case.

Rike is charged with two counts of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, two counts of identity fraud, one count of falsification in a theft offense and one count of improper use of a certificate of title.

Court records show she was charged April 1 in Eaton Municipal Court. Authorities said she has since posted bond while awaiting her next court date, which has not yet been scheduled.

The investigation remains ongoing.
