OHIO — A 35-year-old man was arrested Thursday after detectives seized drugs, cash, and firearms while executing a search warrant at a home in a Dayton neighborhood.

According to the Dayton Police Department, officers served the warrant in the 200 block of South Findlay Street. During the search, detectives recovered approximately 65 grams of fentanyl and 31 grams of methamphetamine, along with about $1,000 in cash and two handguns.

Police noted that as little as 2 milligrams of fentanyl can be a lethal dose, meaning the amount recovered could potentially be deadly to thousands of people.

The suspect was taken into custody at the scene. Authorities have not yet released additional details about the individual or the specific charges he may face.

The investigation remains ongoing.
