OHIO — A 41-year-old man was arrested Tuesday following a large police response to a home in Lyons where authorities reported finding materials linked to potential explosive activity.

According to the Toledo Police Department, officers from multiple agencies were called to the 600 block of North Adrian Street. The response led to a heavy police presence in the area, with traffic blocked for nearby residents as crews worked the scene.

Investigators said they discovered powders and chemicals inside the home, including thermite, a substance that can generate extremely high heat. However, officials confirmed that no improvised explosive devices were found on the property, and the Bomb Squad ultimately cleared the scene.

Police identified the suspect as Rory Figley, 41, who was taken into custody at the location. Records indicate Figley had outstanding charges for domestic violence and strangulation at the time of his arrest.

Authorities said additional federal charges related to the incident may be filed. Evidence was collected from the home, and the investigation remains ongoing.
