PENNSYLVANIA — A Pittston man is facing multiple felony drug charges following a months-long narcotics investigation that led authorities to execute a search warrant at his home, police said.

According to Pittston City police, the department’s Special Investigation Unit began investigating Albert Kachinsky in early 2026 after receiving information that he was allegedly distributing methamphetamine in Pittston and surrounding communities.

Investigators said the case involved multiple controlled purchases of methamphetamine, which resulted in authorities obtaining a search warrant for Kachinsky’s residence on Howley Circle.

Police executed the warrant Thursday and reported finding distribution quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, crack cocaine and prescription narcotics inside the home. Authorities also said they seized packaging materials commonly associated with drug trafficking.

Kachinsky was arrested and charged with four counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance.

He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Daniel O’Donnell, who set bail at $25,000 cash.

Several agencies assisted with the investigation, including the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Kingston Borough Police Department, Wilkes-Barre Police Department, Dallas Township Police Department and Wyoming Area Regional Police Department.
