OHIO — A routine traffic stop Friday evening led to the arrest of a Bellefontaine man on drug charges.
Officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department stopped a white Ford van on U.S. Route 33 at State Route 540.
The driver, identified as 63-year-old Roscelle Clark, had an active felony warrant for possession of cocaine following a narcotics investigation.
Clark was asked to exit the vehicle and was taken into custody. Police then deployed K9 Pyro, who alerted to the presence of narcotics in the van.
A subsequent search uncovered a large quantity of crack cocaine and a crack pipe.
Clark was transported to the Logan County Jail on his warrant and now faces additional charges, including possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities confirmed the seized substance tested positive for crack cocaine.
