NORTH CAROLINA — A Durham man is facing multiple charges after deputies say they found firearms and drugs during a traffic stop in Halifax County.
According to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped a vehicle around 7:30 p.m. Thursday on Main Street in Scotland Neck for a traffic violation. During the stop, deputies learned that 25-year-old Tyreek Lloyd and one of his passengers had outstanding warrants related to traffic offenses.
Authorities said a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a rifle, two pistols, fentanyl pills and marijuana.
Lloyd was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and simple possession of marijuana.
He was taken to the Halifax County Jail, where officials said he was denied bond because of pending charges.
The investigation remains ongoing.
