NORTH CAROLINA — A man has been arrested on gun charges following an investigation in Wilmington, North Carolina, according to authorities.
The Wilmington Police Department said 53-year-old Christopher Gangemi was taken into custody around 3:30 p.m. on April 24 in connection with an ongoing Criminal Investigation Division/Gun Crimes Unit case.
Police said a home in the 1900 block of Carolina Avenue, along with a vehicle, was searched as part of the investigation.
During the searches, officers reported finding multiple firearms, as well as methamphetamine, heroin, amphetamine and cash.
Gangemi is charged with three counts of possession of a firearm by a felon. Authorities said he is being held without bond and was scheduled to appear in court on April 24.
The investigation remains ongoing.
