
LOUISIANA — A Webster Parish drug investigation led to the arrest of a Sibley man after deputies reportedly seized narcotics and more than $10,000 in cash.
According to the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office, investigators arrested 31-year-old Deotis Germany on Wednesday following a traffic stop and the execution of a search warrant at his home on Frazier Road.
Deputies said Germany was stopped around 9 a.m. after leaving the residence. A search of his vehicle allegedly uncovered $1,105 in cash.
Authorities later executed a search warrant at the home, where a female juvenile was found and escorted from the residence.
Investigators reported finding a backpack in the master bedroom containing approximately 162 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 49 grams of suspected synthetic marijuana, 26 grams of marijuana and two bags of suspected Ecstasy pills. Deputies also said they recovered $7,536 in cash from the backpack and an additional $1,500 from a dresser.
According to the sheriff’s office, Germany allegedly admitted the narcotics belonged to him following his arrest.
Germany was booked into the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. His bond had not been set as of Wednesday afternoon.
He is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Ecstasy with intent to distribute, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.
The investigation remains ongoing.
