TENNESSEE — A Nashville man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he stole nearly $5,000 worth of merchandise from several Home Depot stores over a two-week period.

According to Metro Nashville Police, 41-year-old Marvin Day allegedly stole $4,810.97 in materials from multiple Home Depot locations between April 12 and April 27.

Investigators said Day repeatedly returned to the stores during the theft spree. Police arrested him on May 8 and seized his vehicle during the investigation.

After being advised of his Miranda rights, Day allegedly admitted to the thefts, according to an arrest affidavit. Police said he told investigators he sold the stolen merchandise at various job sites.

Authorities also reported finding several items inside Day’s vehicle that had been reported stolen from Home Depot stores.

Among the charges listed are organized retail crime involving between $2,500 and $10,000, burglary, and theft of property valued between $10,000 and $60,000.

Jail records show Day’s total bond exceeds $180,000.
