OHIO — The Elyria Police Department has arrested Joel F. Molina in connection with the armed robbery of the Family Dollar store on Lake Avenue.
Police said Molina entered the store on May 11, displayed a handgun, and stole multiple packs of cigarettes before fleeing on foot. Detectives identified him as the suspect after receiving a tip from the public.
Elyria and Lorain police officers arrested Molina on Wednesday on Foster Avenue in Elyria. He has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony.
Following his arrest, Molina was interviewed by detectives and then transported to the Lorain County Jail, where he is being held pending his initial court appearance.
