NORTH CAROLINA — A Jacksonville woman is facing several charges after deputies say she led law enforcement on a high-speed chase through Onslow County, reaching speeds of 120 mph.

According to court documents, 48-year-old Jennifer Joyce White was arrested May 14 and charged with felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle.

Deputies said the incident began on Catherine Lake Road when they attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Authorities allege White fled from deputies while driving recklessly and traveling more than 15 mph over the speed limit. Investigators also said she was operating the vehicle while her license was revoked for an impaired driving offense.

Court records state White reached speeds of 120 mph in a 55 mph zone during the pursuit.

Documents allege White passed multiple vehicles and dump trucks while weaving in and out of traffic near a curve by OAJ Airport in Onslow County.

In addition to the felony fleeing charge, White is charged with no liability insurance, driving while license revoked for impaired revocation, failure to heed light or siren, revoked tag, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, reckless driving and unsafe passing.

White was arrested by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office. Court records show no bond was authorized.
