OHIO — Several Ohio school districts have scheduled their final day of classes in May 2026, according to a review of available 2025-26 district calendars.

The earliest May date is May 21, when Franklin City Schools, Oak Hill Union Local Schools, Lakota Local Schools and Dayton Public Schools’ regular student calendar end. Dayton’s preschool year ends May 14.

Several districts list May 22 as the last day, including Deer Park Community City Schools, Port Clinton City Schools, Hubbard Exempted Village Schools, Great River Connections Academy and Mason City Schools.

A large group of districts end on May 28, including Wayne Local Schools, Wayne Trace Local Schools, Ravenna City Schools, Pleasant Local Schools, Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Akron Public Schools and Olentangy Local Schools.

Other districts extend to May 29, including Forest Hills School District, Dublin City Schools and Ohio Connections Academy. Forest Hills lists May 29 as the last day for prekindergarten through 11th-grade students, while Dublin lists May 29 as the last day for K-11 students.

The search also found Open Door School in Lawrence County with a May 21 student ending date, and Harrison Hills City School District with a May 29 last day.

The dates may be subject to change if districts use calamity days or adjust calendars later in the school year. This review was based on calendars and district pages available online and should not be considered a complete list of every Ohio district.
