OHIO — Several suspects were arrested Thursday after a stolen vehicle investigation prompted temporary lockdowns at a hospital and nearby schools in Green Township, according to police.
Green Township police said officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 5400 block of North Bend Road. Authorities said the vehicle fled the area before it was later abandoned on Kleeman Road.
Police said several people inside the vehicle ran into a nearby wooded area after abandoning the vehicle. As a precaution, temporary lockdowns were issued at Mercy West Hospital and nearby schools while officers searched for the suspects.
Authorities said officers, along with Cheviot police K9 Shadow, were able to locate and take the suspects into custody.
The lockdowns have since been lifted. No additional information about the suspects or possible charges was immediately released.
