
OHIO — Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist early Sunday morning on Interstate 670 in Columbus.
According to authorities, the crash occurred just after 2:30 a.m. on westbound I-670 near the Neil Avenue exit.
Investigators said a white sedan was traveling westbound when it collided with a dark-colored vehicle traveling in the same direction. The impact caused the white sedan to veer into the path of a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and suffered serious injuries. The rider was transported to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
Police said the dark-colored vehicle fled the scene without stopping to check on those involved or contacting emergency services. The incident is being investigated as a hit-and-run crash.
The crash closed multiple lanes of I-670, including the Neil Avenue exit ramp, for several hours overnight while crews cleared the scene and investigators gathered evidence.
