ALABAMA — An 82-year-old Florida woman died Thursday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash in Geneva County, according to authorities.
Geneva County Coroner Donny Adkinson identified the victim as Ruth Lynn Brown of Bonifay.
Officials said the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. along County Road 4 in the Fadette community. Brown’s vehicle reportedly left the roadway and struck a tree.
Brown later succumbed to her injuries, authorities said.
Several agencies responded to the scene, including the Geneva County Coroner’s Office, Slocomb Police Department, Slocomb EMS and Geneva County EMA.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash. Additional details were not immediately available.
