TENNESSEE — A convicted felon from Florida has been arrested in Knoxville after police say they discovered multiple law enforcement-style items, weapons and drugs in his vehicle.

According to police, the case involves Cody Strausborger, who was stopped while driving along Hillwood Drive in the Island Home area. Officers reported that Strausborger appeared to be taking pictures of a home while driving and was pulled over after they noticed a brake light violation.

During the stop, a K9 unit alerted officers to the possible presence of drugs, prompting a search of the vehicle. Authorities say they found more than 15 metal badges resembling those used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and other agencies, along with FBI-branded clothing and folders.

Police also reported finding a number of weapons and related items, including ammunition, multiple Airsoft guns, rifle stocks and barrels, large knives, a sword and a fixed-blade knife with integrated brass knuckles. Suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia, including glass pipes, were also located in the vehicle.

Strausborger was taken into custody and is facing multiple drug and weapons charges. An FBI agent responded to the scene, and the investigation remains ongoing.
