
TEXAS — Authorities are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a body of water in Houston, according to police.
The Houston Police Department said officers responded to the area of 4500 Martin Luther King Boulevard after receiving a report of a deceased female at the location.
When officers arrived, they located the woman and requested assistance from Houston Fire Department paramedics, who pronounced her dead at the scene.
Investigators with the HPD Homicide Division, including Sergeant J. Stroble and Detective K. Collier, are leading the investigation.
The identity of the woman has not yet been released and is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Officials said the cause of death has not been determined and will be established following an autopsy.
