LOUISIANA — Police in Port Allen are investigating after a body was discovered Friday morning near Rivault Memorial Park.
According to the Port Allen Police Department, officers responded shortly after 9 a.m. to reports of a body near the intersection of Oaks Avenue and South Jefferson Avenue.
Authorities said the investigation remained active as of 9:50 a.m. Friday. Police had not released any details about the identity of the person found or the circumstances surrounding the death.
No additional information was immediately available.
The investigation is ongoing.
