
MINNESOTA — A bicyclist suffered critical injuries after being struck by a pickup truck Tuesday evening in Chisago County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Investigators said a 36-year-old bicyclist was traveling south on Lofton Avenue when he entered an intersection and was struck by a Ford F-350 traveling west on Highway 8.
The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities have not released an update on his condition.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the driver of the Ford truck is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. Another person was also inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
No criminal charges have been filed in the case as the investigation continues.
