ALABAMA — A Selma man died early Tuesday morning after the bicycle he was riding was struck by a car in Dallas County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The crash happened around 4 a.m. on Alabama Highway 14 near the 118-mile marker, about two miles west of Selma.
ALEA said 61-year-old Johnny R. Brown of Selma was riding a bicycle when he was hit by a 1997 Toyota Corolla driven by a 60-year-old man from Jones.
Brown was taken to Vaughan Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities have not released additional details about the driver.
The crash remains under investigation by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
