FLORIDA — A crash on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade County caused injuries and blocked multiple southbound lanes Friday morning, creating significant traffic delays, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded to the crash near Northwest 79th Street. Authorities said the collision resulted in injuries, but it was not immediately clear how many people were hurt or the extent of their injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
At least three southbound lanes were blocked as emergency crews responded to the scene, with traffic backing up to the Golden Glades Interchange.
Motorists traveling through the area are encouraged to use U.S. 441 as an alternate route until the scene is cleared.
