
FLORIDA — A fatal crash has been reported Friday night on State Road 29 in Collier County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred about 1.5 miles north of Interstate 75. The incident is being investigated as a deadly crash, though officials have not yet released details about how many vehicles were involved or the identity of the person who died.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office in a Facebook post, State Road 29 is closed in both directions while emergency crews respond to the scene. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
