TEXAS — A man in his 20s died early Wednesday after a motorcycle crash on a connector ramp near downtown San Antonio, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Police said the crash occurred around 2:20 a.m. on the northbound Interstate 37 ramp to northbound Interstate 35 near Broadway and Roy Smith Drive.
Investigators said the motorcyclist lost control of the motorcycle while traveling on the elevated ramp and went over a retaining wall. The rider fell more than 40 feet before landing below.
Emergency responders transported the man to Brooke Army Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The San Antonio Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Division is investigating the cause of the crash. San Antonio police officers, firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene.
No additional information about the victim has been released.
