KENTUCKY — A crash on Interstate 65 near the Gene Snyder Freeway is causing significant traffic delays Wednesday morning, with northbound congestion stretching into Bullitt County.
According to TRIMARC, the crash occurred around 12:45 a.m. The incident has led to the closure of the two right northbound lanes, the right ramp and the right shoulder as crews continue working to clear the scene.
Traffic is backed up beyond the Brooks area, and delays have worsened due to a second crash reported just north of the Brooks exit.
TRIMARC estimates the roadway will remain impacted for at least another two hours while emergency crews and transportation officials work to remove vehicles and restore normal traffic flow.
Motorists traveling north on I-65 are encouraged to seek alternate routes and expect significant delays through the morning commute.
