
PENNSYLVANIA — A 28-year-old man was killed in a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a tanker truck early Friday morning in Butler County, according to police.
The crash happened around 12:41 a.m. at the intersection of Lindsay Road and the Interstate 79 northbound off-ramp in Jackson Township.
Police said the victim, a Volant man, was driving northbound after exiting I-79 when his vehicle collided with a tri-axle tanker truck traveling westbound on Lindsay Road.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver of the car dead.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
No information was immediately available regarding injuries to the tanker truck driver.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Jackson Township Police Department.
