PENNSYLVANIA — Authorities in York County are investigating after human remains were reported found in a wooded area Tuesday evening.
According to Penn Township Police, officers responded to the 700 block of Old Ridge Road in Hanover at approximately 7:30 p.m. for a report of human remains.
The remains were discovered in a wooded area, police said.
Several agencies are involved in the investigation, including the Penn Township Police Department, Hanover Borough Police Department, York County Forensic Team and the York County Coroner’s Office.
Officials have not released additional details about the remains, including the identity of the individual or the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
The investigation remains ongoing.
