TEXAS — A 25-year-old Beaumont woman died after a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning, according to the Beaumont Police Department.
Officers responded around 4:25 a.m. to a crash near the 5400 block of Ohio Street. When they arrived, they found the driver unresponsive in the vehicle.
Beaumont Fire-EMS transported the woman to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Police identified the victim as Cyanasia Dowl, 25, of Beaumont.
According to a preliminary investigation, Dowl was traveling northbound in the 1800 block of Cardinal Drive when her vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a light pole.
Authorities said Dowl was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Beaumont Police Department.
