
WISCONSIN — Wisconsin continues to experience widespread power outages Friday morning, with more than 10,000 homes and businesses currently without electricity across the state.
According to PowerOutage.us, 10,113 customers are without power statewide as of Friday morning. The outages affect approximately 0.35% of the nearly 2.93 million customers tracked in Wisconsin.
Milwaukee County is reporting the largest number of outages, with 5,887 customers currently without electricity. Kenosha County has 1,496 customers without power, followed by Walworth County with 1,015 outages, Racine County with 901, and Waukesha County with 695.
We Energies accounts for the vast majority of the outages, reporting 10,045 customers without power out of more than 1.06 million customers served. Wisconsin Public Service reports 31 outages, while Alliant Energy reports 25. Several smaller utilities are also reporting scattered outages.
Wisconsin currently ranks first in the nation for the total number of power outages and second nationwide for the percentage of customers affected, according to PowerOutage.us.
Utility crews continue working to restore service, though no statewide estimate for full restoration has been announced. Customers experiencing outages are encouraged to report them directly to their utility provider and monitor local utility updates for restoration information.
The outage numbers are current and continue to change as crews restore service and new reports are received.
