
FLORIDA — More than 4,000 customers across Florida are currently without electricity Wednesday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 4,064 customers are without power statewide out of more than 11.7 million tracked customers. Florida currently has the fifth-highest number of power outages in the nation.
Lee County is reporting the largest number of outages, with 1,001 customers currently without electricity. Marion County follows with 973 outages, while Manatee County has 332 customers affected. Miami-Dade County is reporting 317 outages, Indian River County has 212, Flagler County has 209, Palm Beach County has 207 and Brevard County has 203.
Among utility providers, Florida Power & Light Company is reporting the largest number of affected customers, with 1,666 outages. Duke Energy has 1,231 customers without service, while Lee County Electric Cooperative is reporting 947 outages. Tampa Electric has 51 customers affected and Clay Electric Cooperative is reporting 38.
Indian River County has the highest outage percentage among the counties listed, with 1.42% of tracked customers currently without power.
Utility crews continue working to restore service as outages remain active across Florida Wednesday morning.
