
NORTH CAROLINA — One person was injured in a shooting Tuesday night in Cary, and another person is in custody, according to police.
The Cary Police Department said officers responded to the 1200 block of Brickfield Drive shortly before 9:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
Police said a man was shot and transported to a hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries has not been released.
Authorities took one person into custody in connection with the incident.
Investigators said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Police remained at the scene Tuesday night as they continued their investigation. Additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been released.
