VIRGINIA — One person was injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning on Cape Henry Avenue, according to Norfolk police.
Police said officers were called to Sentara Leigh Hospital around 1:30 a.m. after a person arrived as a walk-in gunshot victim suffering from a non-life-threatening injury.
A preliminary investigation determined the shooting occurred in the 3700 block of Cape Henry Avenue.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim or additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
