
PENNSYLVANIA — Two people were arrested after cocaine was discovered inside a child’s lunch box at a York County daycare, according to police.
Officers were called to a daycare in Carroll Township on May 28 after staff found the drugs inside a child’s lunch bag. Investigators said the discovery prompted an investigation and the execution of a search warrant at the child’s mother’s home in the first block of Walmar Manor in Franklin Township.
During the search, police said officers found additional drugs, cash and packaging materials commonly associated with drug distribution.
Authorities identified the suspects as Emily Arter and Joel Rodriguez-Melendez. Both were taken into custody following the investigation.
Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident or any charges filed.
