Thousands without power in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — Thousands of homes and businesses across Pennsylvania are currently without electricity Monday morning as utility crews continue restoration efforts throughout the state.

According to PowerOutage.us, 3,330 customers are without power statewide. The outages affect approximately 0.05% of the more than 6.7 million customers tracked across Pennsylvania.

Bradford County is reporting the largest number of outages, with 1,335 customers currently without electricity. Adams County follows with 562 outages, while Mifflin County has 267 customers affected. Additional outages are reported in Berks County with 192 customers without service and Montgomery County with 163.

Among utility providers, FirstEnergy is reporting the highest number of outages in the state, with 2,664 customers without power. PECO Energy Company reports 336 outages, while PPL Electric Utilities has 152 customers affected and Duquesne Light Company reports 133.

Bradford County is currently the hardest-hit county, with more than 4% of tracked customers without electricity.

PowerOutage.us reports Pennsylvania currently has the seventh-highest number of power outages in the nation and ranks 12th nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.

Utility crews continue working to restore service, and outage numbers are expected to fluctuate throughout the day as repairs are completed.
