
WISCONSIN — More than 4,000 homes and businesses across Wisconsin are currently without electricity Monday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the most recent update, 4,002 customers are without power statewide. The outages affect approximately 0.14% of the nearly 2.93 million customers tracked across Wisconsin.
Polk County is experiencing the largest concentration of outages in the state, with 3,612 customers currently without electricity. Milwaukee County is reporting 242 outages, while Walworth County has 61 customers affected. Smaller numbers of outages are also reported in Marathon, Langlade, Dane, Dunn and Wood counties.
Polk County is also the hardest-hit county by percentage, with nearly 9.8% of tracked customers without power.
Among utility providers, Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative is reporting the largest outage total, with 3,612 customers without service. The cooperative is also reporting the highest percentage of customers affected, with more than 16% of its customers currently without electricity.
PowerOutage.us reports Wisconsin currently has the sixth-highest number of power outages in the nation and ranks sixth nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
Utility crews continue restoration efforts across the state as outage numbers change throughout the morning.
