Part of I-70 in Ohio completely shut down following vehicle crash

OHIO — A crash has closed both eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 70 in Belmont County Monday morning, causing significant traffic disruptions.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Eastern Ohio District 11, the crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. near mile marker 202 at the State Route 800 exit.

Officials said both directions of I-70 are currently closed in the area as emergency crews respond to the scene and work to clear the roadway.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and expect delays while the incident remains active.
