
TEXAS — A deadly crash shut down the eastbound main lanes of Interstate 10 northwest of downtown San Antonio early Wednesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
The crash happened around 4 a.m. on Interstate 10 near Woodlawn Avenue, close to Fredericksburg Road.
San Antonio police said one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the eastbound main lanes of the interstate are currently closed and are expected to remain shut down for an extended period while crews investigate and clear the scene.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
