SOUTH CAROLINA — One person is dead following a moped crash in Lexington, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 9:45 a.m. Thursday, May 21, on South Lake Drive near Pleasant View Drive.
Troopers said a moped was traveling north on South Lake Drive when it went off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
The driver was taken to a hospital, where they later died from their injuries.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
