FLORIDA — One person was killed in an early morning crash Wednesday in Escambia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 6:10 a.m. on Barrancas Avenue near Weis Lane.
According to FHP, the vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
Emergency medical crews responded to the scene, and one person was pronounced dead. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
Officials said no roadblock was reported in the area following the crash.
No additional details have been released as the investigation continues.
