
VIRGINIA — More than 3,500 homes and businesses across Virginia are without power Sunday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 3,534 customers statewide are affected by outages out of more than 4 million tracked customers. Virginia currently has the seventh-highest number of outages in the nation, with about 0.09% of customers statewide without electricity.
Roanoke County reports the largest number of outages with 891 customers affected. Albemarle County follows with 733 outages, while Fairfax County reports 357 customers without power. Franklin County has 332 outages, and Montgomery County reports 282 customers affected.
Among utility providers, Dominion Energy reports the highest number of outages statewide with 1,709 customers without service. Appalachian Power Company reports 1,651 outages and has the highest percentage of customers affected among major utilities, with 0.3% of its customers without electricity. Rappahannock Electric Coop reports 141 outages.
Roanoke County currently has the highest percentage of customers affected among counties, with 1.9% of tracked customers without power.
Utility crews continue working to restore service as outage numbers are updated throughout the morning.
