
GEORGIA — A man died after being struck by a vehicle in west Macon on Thursday night, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. along the 5000 block of Log Cabin Drive at the intersection of Chambers Road.
Investigators said a 52-year-old driver of a gray Chevrolet Silverado struck a 32-year-old man who was crossing the roadway.
Authorities identified the pedestrian as Isiah Scott. Officials said Scott was wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash.
Scott was taken by ambulance to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries, according to Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley.
