
GEORGIA — More than 2,200 customers across Georgia are currently without electricity Wednesday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 2,221 homes and businesses statewide are experiencing active power outages. Georgia currently ranks 10th in the nation for the total number of outages.
Bulloch County has the highest number of outages in the state, with 1,307 customers currently without power. Gwinnett County reported 190 outages, while Fulton County had 61. DeKalb County reported 56 outages and Muscogee County had 48 Wednesday morning.
Among utility providers, Excelsior EMC reported the largest number of outages with 1,300 customers affected. The utility also has the highest percentage of customers impacted in the state, with about 5.01% of customers without electricity.
Georgia Power reported 685 outages statewide, while Satilla REMC reported 50 outages and Jackson EMC reported 35.
Overall, about 0.04% of the more than 5.3 million customers tracked across Georgia are currently without power Wednesday morning.
Utility crews continue working to restore service in affected areas across the state.
