
ALABAMA — Three people were arrested in Talladega County early Tuesday morning on drug-related charges, according to the Talladega County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities said the arrests happened during the early morning hours of May 19. Each suspect was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, along with additional offenses.
According to the sheriff’s department, 60-year-old Steven Fitzgerald Wilson was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and 12 counts of failure to appear for negotiating a worthless instrument.
Investigators said 39-year-old Terracis Yokiea Averiett was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and second-degree possession of marijuana.
Authorities also arrested 55-year-old Samuel Dates, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
No additional details about the investigation were immediately released.
