ARKANSAS — Traffic is slowed Wednesday morning on Interstate 49 near Johnson following a crash in the southbound lanes, according to the Arkansas Department of Transportation.
ARDOT said the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. on I-49 South near the Fulbright Expressway area.
Officials said at least one vehicle was pulled onto the right shoulder following the crash.
Authorities reported injuries in the collision, though the extent of those injuries has not been released.
Heavy rain was falling across Northwest Arkansas at the time of the crash, contributing to slow travel conditions in the area.
Traffic cameras show emergency crews allowing vehicles to pass through the scene using a single lane, causing significant backups for southbound drivers.
Motorists traveling through the area are urged to use caution and expect delays as crews respond to the crash.
