VIRGINIA — A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday after a crash involving a tractor-trailer in Fairfax County, according to police.
Fairfax County police said the crash happened near Route 29 and Meadow Estates Drive in the Braddock area.
Authorities said the motorcyclist, an adult man, died at the scene. His identity has not been released.
Police did not immediately provide details about what led to the crash or whether the driver of the tractor-trailer was injured.
Both directions of Route 29 were closed following the collision, and drivers were urged to seek alternate routes due to delays in the area.
The crash remains under investigation by Fairfax County police.
