OHIO — A motorcyclist died after a crash involving a car Monday night on the east side of Columbus, according to police.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on Stelzer Road near East 7th Avenue.
Investigators with the Columbus Division of Police said an adult was riding a 1981 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Stelzer Road while a 2015 Kia Forte with one passenger was traveling northbound.
Police said the Kia attempted to turn left into the parking lot of 755 Stelzer Road when the motorcycle struck the side of the vehicle, ejecting the rider.
The motorcyclist was taken to Ohio State East Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at 11:13 p.m.
Authorities did not say whether the driver or passenger in the Kia was injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
