FLORIDA — A West Palm Beach man has died following a motorcycle crash in Lake Worth Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said the crash happened around 11:04 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of North Dixie Highway and 13th Avenue North.
According to the sheriff’s office, a 24-year-old Lake Worth Beach woman was driving a Hyundai Elantra northbound on North Dixie Highway when she attempted to make a left turn at the intersection.
Authorities said the vehicle turned into the path of a southbound motorcycle operated by 66-year-old John D. Dey of West Palm Beach. The motorcycle then collided with the front of the car.
Dey was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center following the crash, where he died Saturday from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
