LOUISIANA — A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Louisiana for Saturday night’s drawing, according to lottery officials.
The winning numbers for the May 16, 2026, Powerball drawing were 8, 37, 40, 44, 65 and Powerball 18. The Power Play multiplier was 3x. The estimated jackpot for the drawing was $89 million, with a cash value of $39.3 million.
Although no ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, one ticket sold in Louisiana matched four white balls and the Powerball to claim a $50,000 prize.
Lottery officials have not yet announced where in Louisiana the winning ticket was purchased.
With no jackpot winner Saturday night, the Powerball grand prize will roll over and continue growing for the next drawing.
